Bainbridge Island Open House

The Bainbridge Island City Council voted on Tuesday, May 2 to move forward with investigating a site on New Brooklyn for a new Police and Municipal Court Building. This decision came after reviewing the analysis for six potential sites that had been completed by Coates Design, and hearing public comment from an Open House that occurred on April 12.

The New Brooklyn Site is located at the north side of New Brooklyn Road and just west of Fire Station 21’s helicopter evacuation pad.

Coates Design will now complete an advanced site analysis for the New Brooklyn site including a geotechnical study and a detailed cost assessment for the site. In July, the results of the advanced analysis will be presented to the City Council. The desire is that after this analysis is completed, the City Council would then proceed to site acquisition.
